I developed a brand system for Riviera Woods that enabled their communication to distinctly stand out within a crowd.

Riviera Woods is a real estate undertaking that made available curated bungalow plots and spaces for sale on the outskirts of Pune, India. The builders came seeking a more unconventional identity system for their latest venture.

Riviera Woods was an exercise in branding where memorable and persuasive communication could be a differentiating factor within a market flooded with competitors, and a deciding factor for possible investors and buyers. The identity and the resulting brand expression was constructed on two clear narratives. One, the location of the project being between a forest on the back and a river in the front was an excellent selling point, and had to be integrated into the brand language. Two, I imagined the houses as little creatures and the story they might tell.

Brand Expression

A geometric illustrative style was developed and used across the applications. Using icons, they literally build a visual narrative about what a house is excited about, and hence appear as speech bubbles. These visuals and the bold, precise use of colour helped become a powerful differentiator in environmental communication like billboards at major junctions, which were conventionally overloaded with textual information or imagery about amenities.
